Jesper Nissen

Jesper Nissen has more than 18 years in IT and digital work, and came to search from software testing and web development rather than from marketing. It shows in the method. Through his first company, Computerpeople, he built more than 700 websites and developed deep familiarity with CMS architecture. As early as 2008 he designed an SEO focused content management system that automated page titles and metadata, well before that was standard practice.

He later founded SEO Danmark, providing search strategy and services to businesses. His work runs on controlled experimentation, using ranking tests to establish how Google actually responds to a given change rather than how the industry believes it does. A Master’s degree in Physics and Quantum Mechanics from the University of Copenhagen accounts for the rigour, and for the willingness to discard a hypothesis that fails.

His specialist areas are technical SEO and advanced link building, with particular depth in cloud stacking. He founded YACSS, Yet Another Cloud Stacking Software, to automate the creation of cloud based websites in support of dofollow backlink strategies, and extended the technique to local search visibility.

Nissen then created SchemaWriter.ai, applying his knowledge of schema markup and structured data to semantic SEO, examining how entities relate to content and how machine readable information supports interpretation. He collaborates with other specialists on testing techniques against observed SERP behaviour, and has presented his cloud stacking work publicly at POFU LIVE 2022 and SEO Rockstars 2022.
